Contributing to New Zealands Architectural History - Since 1922

With the school unable to extend its current footprint, two existing tech blocks were refurbished by developing their shaded and under-used central courtyards.

Formed like the hull of a ship the first new addition was flanked on each side by refurbished wood and metal working studios providing a distinctive new learning environment to Mountain View High School.

Within the other block the provision of a the cooking and textile facilities sat either side of a new teacher resource centre and cafe/study space delivering the much needed new amenity with plenty of natural light with a clever use of colour and materials.
