McDougall House

Gifted by the McDougall family to the Nurse Maude Association, the building was extensively damaged during the Christchurch earthquakes. It underwent an extensive structural upgrade and along with a full modernisation of building services, McDougall House was carefully restored to its original glory.

The exterior fabric was retained along with new timber shingle roofing, and copper spouting. The west end of the ballroom was restored to the original 1932 alignment, timber mouldings were removed, numbered, carefully stored, reassembled and fully refurbished
